July '09- Leaving for Japan after work today!

Ranma 19A is almost done! Look for that to be updated soon!The second half of June had good things happen, like my birthday and one year anniversary with my girlfriend and bad things, like all of these celebrity deaths...
I am a big MJ fan, I have all of his CD's, almost all the Jackson's CD's, and a Greatest Hits CD for the Jackson 5. My 1st CD ever was Michael Jackson "Dangerous"... so yeah... been a fan for a long long time, since the 80's. The world will never be the same. RIP MJ.
The comic I am working on with
is on hiatus for a while as she catches up on her other comic and some other projects... I don't know when it'll be updated again. I'll be leaving for Japan after work. This is how I am getting there:
US Airways from Philadelphia, PA to Frankfurt, Germany. Lufthansa from Frankfurt to Tokyo, Japan. Train to Ueno station in Tokyo, then up to Iwaki City.
In Iwaki City is the famous "Spa Resort Hawaiians"- a water park and hot spring park... I will be going there and getting some pics. Link: [link] I think this is the place in the 2nd season of Ai Yori Aoshi where the gang visits a similar park before Tina heads back to America. I will investigate this further and rewatch that episode.
Return by taking the train back to Ueno- I should have time to walk over to Akihabara and get some more pics, especially of the NGE pachinko parlor and the life sized Asuka and Rei statues! After getting back to the airport, I will get back to Philadelphia one of two ways:
Via Newark on Continental, non stop from Tokyo and then US Airways to Philadelphia.
Via Atlanta on Delta or Northwest, non stop from Tokyo and then US Airways to Philadelphia.
Ranma 1/2 fans know about Miss Hinako and her 5 yen coin trick- I will be bringing back at least 20 of those coins from Japan- my girlfriend is already collecting them for me. Maybe I will give some out as prizes for a contest!

Since 6/20 was my bday and I was stuck in PA, just went to Hooters instead. Had 30 wings and a pitcher of beer and finished it all! (20+10 free special, can't beat that, except on Tuesday's 2X wing day) I took a road trip on 6/21 and 6/22- details of that are in a previous journal about "invading the south"
So I had fun, despite not being able to go home. I'm looking forward to this next trip... Japan, here I come! Only 10 hours left to go till I leave!
