Death Valley- one of the lowest places on earth. It's the lowest place in N. America and 2nd lowest in the Western Hemisphere. (-282 feet/-85.5 meters below sea level) It once held the world's record for the hottest place until it was passed by Libya, by 2 F. (134 F/56.7 C vs 135.9F/57.7 C)

This is one of the most remote places in the US... it's utterly remote and rugged, yet beautiful and unique beyond compare. The scenery is spectacular, as you will soon see... and there's plants and animals found nowhere else on earth, like the Death Valley Pupfish. Pictures will be posted in each category after I post them to the site.

This was one of the best trips that I've ever taken, I really enjoyed this trip. I'll have to go back again later this year, when it does cool down... summer and 120+ F temps are coming soon!
